Regular attendees:

Arrival: Please make travel arrangement so that you arrive on Sunday morning, August 8, at the Zurich Airport (Delta/Swissair may be most suitable for US travelers). Upon arrival, take the train to Locarno via Bellinzona (~2 hrs and 50 minutes to Bellinzona). A train schedule can be found at http://www.sbb.ch/index_e.htm. There will be a bus shuttle from the Locarno train station to the hotels in Ascona on Sunday afternoon.

Please find below further details regarding the train from Zurich or Milan Airport to Locarno and the bus to Ascona.

From Zurich Airport: Upon arrival on Sunday morning, August 8, take the train on Zurich Airport to Locarno via Zurich main train station and Bellinzona (takes ~10 minutes to Zurich main station, ~2 hrs and 50 minutes to Bellinzona and ~20 minutes to Locarno). A train schedule can be found at http://www.sbb.ch/index_e.htm. Please enter the web site, select travel/timetable and type: "Zurich Flughafen" (NOT "Zurich airport") for Departure and "Locarno" for Destination Then click "Start Query" at the bottom of the window and you will get the train schedule. Click "later connections" or "earlier connections" to get the correct schedule. Click "Graphic" to get a map. Please note that there are train connections with three, two or one train changes. You always have to change the train at Zurich main train station. Depending on the schedule you select, additional changes may be necessary in Olten and Bellinzona.

From Milano Malpensa Airport: Upon arrival on Sunday morning, August 8, take the train to Milan Cadorna train station (downtown Milan). This train is free of charge. Then take the subway to Milan central train station (very close, just 2 stops). The train schedule to Locarno can be found at http://www.sbb.ch/index_e.htm. Please enter the web site, select travel/timetable, type "Milan" for Departure and "Locarno" for Destination Then click "Start Query at the bottom of the window and you will get the train schedule. Click "later connections" or "earlier connections" to get the correct schedule. Click Graphic to get a map.

From Locarno train station to your Hotel in Ascona: At the Locarno Train station, there will be a greeter from the conference organizers and bus shuttles scheduled to take you to your hotel in Ascona (~30 minutes) on Sunday afternoon.

Return: Please note that the conference will end on Thursday afternoon, August 12 at approximately 4:00 PM. There will be a bus provided for traveling to Locarno. After that you are on you own and you should make your own travel/lodging arrangements. It should be noted that an extension of your hotel stay in Ascona past August 12 may be very difficult during this season.

Invited speakers/discussion leaders:

1. Please make your travel arrangement as indicated above.

2. Fill out the registration form and fax it to Dr. Hediger.

3. The registration/lodging package will be covered for the speakers. If you bring your spouse, please complete to payment section on the registration form.

4. Submit the receipts for your travel reimbursement after the meeting to Dr. Hediger. The organizers will do their best to cover reasonable travel expenses (economy airfare only); the exact amount will depend on the outcome of our fund-raising efforts.
